BE BOLD

Be Bold

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. HEBREWS 4:16

The safest place to go when we have sinned is the throne of grace.

In Hebrews 4:15 we read that Jesus Christ can commiserate (sympathize) with our human weaknesses.

Sympathize means “to suffer with,” and even though Christ did not sin, He is able to sympathize with our struggles.

The pressure to sin is intense and the temptations we face are powerful, yet Jesus understands what we are going through. He knows well the spiritual battle we are engaged in.

Therefore, because Jesus knows what the contest against sin is like, we are able to go before Him.

Our confident approach is unlike an Old Testament high priest who always feared that his sacrifice might not be acceptable to the Lord. The consequence for that would be his life, taken in judgment.

We have the resurrected Lord as our High Priest.

He was the perfect sacrifice for our sin, so we can, and we should – purposefully and boldly approach His throne of grace.

. The One seated upon that throne has mercy and grace in abundance for the humbled sinner.

He knows what we are going through; He knows what we need, and He can give us that which we seek.

Go to Him today!
